OUR MOTTO
OUR PROGRAM IS
OUR TEACHERS
How rare to find a community of peers who have grown alongside one another and who now teach their own respective programs all over the world. How rare to find colleagues who are still eager to learn from and with one another. That is what we have here. The teachers in this program, Annie, Ashley, Jeanne, Joan, Joe, Marla and Lisa, collectively represent over two hundred years of study. These are mature teachers, leaders, and friends. Join us in this amazing journey!

Two hours monthly for ten months. The mentor will schedule these times. Take classes, observe classes, and assist classes when appropriate.

● How to observe
● How to adjust
● Understand sequencing
● Supervise a final project
Throughout classical yoga texts, you find that a relationship with a teacher can be an essential anchor in your journey to explore and reveal your potential. A dear teacher, Maty Ezraty, once said, “Keep in mind that when you practice yoga, you are not practicing to improve yourself. You are perfect. The practice is there to help you know that.”
A mentor can help you remember that and guide you in your studies. We each have unique physical shapes and realize that some asanas will be most beneficial when modified for our shape. A teacher is there to help you ask questions, discover, and stay the course when the practice gets challenging and when life gets challenging. We each have a unique destiny. In dialog with your mentor, your teaching and your practice, that special something will be revealed. And it can be especially helpful to meet regularly with your fellow apprentices!
Perhaps you already know who you would like to study with.
If not, we suggest you take a few public classes with each mentor. Each is a master teacher with a distinctive method. Whether it is the yoga style, the quality of voice, or the effect that the teacher has on their students, your mentor will become a collaborator in your evolution as a teacher. How special is that!
In this 300-hour program, we have four mentors. Find their schedules on the CFYLA website. Joan will have an in-studio and hybrid mix in her mentorship. Everyone else teaches locally in Los Angeles.
