DATES: November 3 - December 10, 2023 (no class on weekend of Nov. 25)
o Fun, challenging, insightful.
o Deep dive to raise the level of your asanas.
o Fine tune your practice to effectively engage each part of your body, breath, and heart.
o Explore Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and discuss “being and becoming” in a loving community.
In most classes we learn the shape of poses. We hear instructions about how to improve the pose, but we are so busy either keeping up, chasing the stretch, or looking for variations that we rarely apply what the instructor is asking of us. Over these weekends Joe and Ashley will help you understand how to better access mobility in your hips, stability in your back and core, safe and effective movement in your shoulders and neck, and basically, how to deepen your practice.
Play with more asanas, practice going beyond the familiar, invite meditation into your day. Go deeper.

Strength, stability, mobility, stamina, and relaxation are all benefits of good practice. We experience these on physical and mental levels. This module builds upon the physical asanas with an overlay of the subtle body chakra system. An introduction to functional anatomy with Olivia Barry creates the foundation for Jeanne and Ashley to weave into the asana practice an experience of the effect of the chakras.
There are many ways to refine your practice so that you build strength and stamina in a relaxed way, you increase your flexibility while learning mindfulness, and conscious relaxation becomes a regular part of every moment. Take this module to enhance the breadth of asana practice, for yoga really is how we live off the mat!
